This is hands down a book that I highly recommend to be read by Newark's inner-city youth -- especially by the young men who find themselves caught up in the street lifestyle. The author provides descriptive accounts of what actually happens in the lifestyle along with the consequences that often result of said lifestyle. The imagery was impeccable and I was able to relate by the notable city mentions throughout the book. This truly was a good read and I'm anxious for part 2!Product details

This book was 🔥 once I started reading it I couldn't stop...this book shows that these streets don't love you and the streets will break you...big ups to Na Blood tho he did his thing with this book I can't wait until part 2
This is a message to the gang members and others letting them know they could change their lifestyle by doing positive things.
This book was bomb. Now on to number 2. I just hoping that Mally G gets out the game with his lfe
A whole genre has emerged around intellectualizing the dangerous and rigged avenues of this country where too many young people fall prey to cyclic violence and lack of opportunity. This book participates in that without compromising on the reality. And it's not a book about the authors childhood, looking back, now that he's gone to university and is educated and can really see. This is a book of looking around and seeing. It's written by a person who still lives in his community. Looking forward to book two.
All I'm going to say is where's part two! I really had to force myself to put it down so I wouldn't be done so fast. Loved it
